[ London Xmas ] Selfridges’ White Christmas

This is another piece of history here. I was waiting for the right time to go re-take the windows of Selfridges at night  (which never happened because I got lazy). But just saw that they have sealed up the windows with the big SALES! boards today. So I guess it would be a good time to release whatever I have of the Selfridges Xmas windows this year so that it…

.. can be properly archived! (by me.. hahah)

 

It was a rather busy day when I went to take these photos because it was the 20% off weekend at Selfridges.

The big white angel with the snow fan is the only display window that you could see if you go now. The others have been sealed up.

“Bring music to the ears” was an added dimension of the Selfridges White Christmas windw display.

The giant music box. Supposedly there’s a pretty high-tech touch screen thing you could do to choose the displays sing the songs you chose. But I just read it on some review pages. Didn’t really notice it then.

Somehow the windows didn’t stand out as much during day time (maybe it’s because it’s too white). But from the photos I saw of others who took them at night, the windows were really quite cool.

I think the real cool thing in this photo is the woman in the background. You’d see this in a better view if you visit the Selfridges’ London Windows 2011 site below.
