[ Fort McMurray ] Aurora Borealis 北極光

北極光 (綠光). Fort McMurrray, northern Alberta.
Feb 2005. My family embarked on a journey to chase the northern lights…

We went to Fort McMurry in northern Alberta (the province to the east of British Columbia) to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). We were very lucky to see it on our first night! Even though it was TOTALLY FREEZING. It was fantastic! There was a whole line of professional camera lining up in the fields, waiting to capture the moment that the Aurora did its dance. It was magical! No wonder there were so many myths and stories around this natural phenomenon. This is a snap of the northern lights that we saw on the first day. Northern lights are not stationary. They move and transform in the sky like an electric wave.
