Going on the Miramar Ferries Wheel was one of the items on my “places in Taiwan to go in 2008”. It’s also a pretty obvious landmark in the Taipei cityscape. So we went on the ferries wheel only to be…
sort of disappointed by it. First of all, there wasn’t much to see around. Second of all, it ended pretty quickly, probably less than 25min. That might have to do with either the wheel was rotating too quickly or the diameter of the wheel wasn’t lage enough. Either way, to be honest, I’m not really sure whether it was worth the 200 bucks (NTD). You could probably see a more spectacular night view of Taipei from the observatory of Taipei 101 or Yangmin Mt.
Rotating to the very top and looking down on the large Cosco-like wholesale places and malls nearby.
Apart from the occasional blow of wind, it was a bit boring.. :p I kinda feel sorry for my friends who came so far to ride on it.
View of Taipei City from the Miramar Ferries Wheel.
We had ramen dinner at the food court in B1 of the mall. I thought the fork/spoon was kinda funny.. I’m almost certain that it was designed for a right-handed person to be used with his/her right hand.
