[ 遇見濛濛希臘天 ]
台北師大附近很熱鬧但一直不是我們的生活活動區域 (太遠啦~). 這次終於藉這 brunch social gathering @ 希臘左巴餐廳來好好認識一下這個地方. 🙂
This weekend had been hectic. I tried to joggle work+study+friends+outings+other obligations and I managed to pull it through this week. Phew~! More challenges next week and the weeks to come and I will survive!! haha. One of those days, I had a weekend brunch at a Greek restaurant near the NTNU campus. It was a big pro. gathering and met some of the most interesting people! x) Went to the Taipei International Book Exhibition (台北國際書展) later that afternoon and managed to see the Jimmy (幾米), a famous Taiwan illustrator/artist, and a female popular writer (女王). The…
restaurant was just okay we thought. We had a set menu that was put together by the organization that planned this party and about 5 main plates to share + 1 drink + 1 desert. Not sure if it was because there were too many people, the quality of the food wasn’t particularly good and we didn’t think we were full at the end of it. But I guess at these kinds of social events, you’re never really suppose to be there just to eat. haha.
Other dishes + milk tea.
This photo with no focus is only meant to show you how many people were there: There were at least more than 50 people. We occupied 2/3 of the tables at the restaurant!
Joyce & Moi! 🙂
Second floor. The restaurant is quite cozy.
Address: 台北市師大路59巷5號 (near 師大; MRT. Taidian or Guting)
The Taipei International Book Exhibition is one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year in Taipei I think. All 3 exhibition halls were open and thousands and thousands of people come to this exhibition. You won’t necessarily get better deals here but you can find some books that you would otherwise never see or meet the famous writers, etc. that you would, also, otherwise never meet here.
[ 女王簽書會 ] This young female writer got popular because of the to-the-point ideas/writing style about female-male relationship issues on her blog, which was subsequently published into 2 books.
[ 幾米簽書會] Jmmy – One of my favourite artists. His illustrations/drawings are so out of the box and so well juxtaposed with the ideas he wants to convey with his words and drawing that really made his works quite fascinating to adult readers.
The magical world of Jimmy.
