Out of the Clouds

This view of Taipei can be a calligraphy masterpiece. Had a big gathering at The Top restaurant on the Yangming Mountain. Soaked in our oh-crap-it’s-raining depression, we were surprised… (continue reading…)

…. to see Taipei with a different “dressing”. It definitely won a lot of “wow’s” from our friends and guests when the Taipei 101 broke through the thick clouds and stood in the middle of it.

There’s no ocean in Taipei sky line. But you’d still see mountain and water. You might also want to know that when you stand here to look at the view, you’re in fact standing on a dormant (but still “active”) volcano.

Fortunately the rain stopped for a bit and our guests could see the spectacular view.

Heavy rain is not exactly the weather for this kind of Bali resort-like place. But we managed!

The Taipei 101 building is in the cloud.

You’ll have one of the best views of the Taipei cityscape here if you come around sunset.
Canon S90.

之前去這餐廳的 post (my previous entry about the restaurant):
