[ London ] Kopapa Cafe and Restaurant

Covent Garden is a bit of a maze. The small streets are filled with interesting shops and cafes. I went to this Kopapa Cafe for brunch one day when we had to print our poster for a presentation. With a good friend’s recommendation, we had a nice Turkish breakfast and I came….

another time in the evening another time for a pre-theatre dinner.

The bar of the restaurant. They offer some interesting cocktails. Apparently this restaurant is the winner of 2011 London Restaurant Festival – Best Menu. & Runner up for the Time Out 2011 Best New Restaurant Award.

‘Turkish eggs’ from Changa restaurant in Istanbul – 2 poached eggs with whipped yoghurt and hot chilli butter

The hot chocolate is amazingly good. Haven’t had one like this in a while!

For the pre-theatre 3-course menu, we had a very nice chicken liver parfait with chutney for starter (photo above) and Roast miso cod, Jerusalem artichoke, bok choy, soy ginger beurre blanc.

Then we had the Lemon curd Pavlova roulade, pistachio ice cream. The pavlova is a bit like marshmallow here… Note to self though: no more pavlova! It’s a bit too much sugar for the stomach. The pistachio ice cream is good tho!
