There are a lot of designer restaurants hidden in the alleys of Taipei. A Poet is one that you’d probably not notice as you walk by. The restaurant serves Italian/Mediterranean cuisine and the interior design is…almost like a film set. I would say lots of people would go for the interior deco.
The interior has an interesting contrast of light and dark. It’s very spacious and feels a bit like a home filled with antiques.
The kitchen is semi-open. You can see what’s going on in there.
We mainly ordered seafood dishes that day. We had fish and a seafood risotto. They have afternoon tea as well if you would prefer that.
The restaurant is owned by a designer. It was mentioned in several magazines.
In Taiwan, a lot of people would try out restaurants or cafe with some unique themes or interior decor to blog about it. So it’s not uncommon to go to a restaurant to see lots of people taking photos of the food or restaurant.
Have to thank S. for introducing this restaurant to me. I was really impressed by the “feel” of the restaurant.
